CAMERA BASED NAVIGATION – HUSQVARNA

As humans, our primary source of information comes from our eyes, and a large effort in the research community goes into enabling machines to utilize cameras in a better way.

In this case study, we utilize the Husqvarna mower platform to record vast amounts of data in a rather effortless way. Our platform is equipped with camera sensors, additional computational resources, and data storage space. The main research focus here is to perform matching of images taken in different conditions, such as different lighting, different times of the day, different weather conditions, and, in a longer time horizon, different seasons.
